Atha is the first word in the Yoga Sutras, the main philosophical text sharing the wisdom of this practice and guidance for the holistic practice of yoga.
Atha Means, Now - get present and practice!
It calls us into the present moment where there’s peace and the opportunity for skilfulness. It reminds us that the practice is a continuous journey and there’s always an opportunity to begin - and to begin again.
Atha is a thank you to all the teachers who came before us.
This practice has been passed down from teacher to student for thousands of years. I feel honored and humbled each time I have the opportunity to share what’s been shared with me and synthesized through my commitment to this practice and yoga’s perspective - we are truly all connected. my style of practice is Hatha-Vinyasa style; a mindful flow. It’s accessible and adaptable so you can practice at any age and ability. My practice is also influenced by my study of dance. Yoga brings us home to ourselves, to experience our divine essence and equips us with the tools to care for all the parts of ourselves - body, mind, heart, soul and spirit. 💖
Atha also points to auspicious beginnings, When we say yes, the universe rises to meet us.
Thank you for saying yes and being here, now. I’m glad to be on this journey together.
